Artivism – Education – Contemporary Music

We are Magdalena Myrczik and David Almagro, and together as Sauti Duo we delight in exploring the rich soundscape and the wide palette of tones offered by percussion instruments. We believe deeply in music’s power to spark reflection and bring renewal to human consciousness. Through our art, we aim not only to share artistic excellence, but also to convey the values that shape our vision — from environmental education to social ecology, fostering human connection and tolerance.
Musically, we are deeply engaged with the contemporary scene, which has led us to collaborate with a range of composers such as J. M. López López, M. Ryczek, F. Barajas, and A. Dzięcioł. Through projects, commissions, and performances, we actively promote the avant-garde music of our respective countries, bringing fresh and innovative works to audiences.
Our artistic quality is endorsed by the numerous national and international awards we have received, and we are widely praised for our strong ensemble cohesion, expressive depth, and energetic performances.

She has participated in numerous music courses, receiving instruction from renowned soloists such as Katarzyna Mycka, Svet Stoyanov, and Jean Geoffroy. Among her most notable awards are Second Prize at the International Marimba Festiva Competition, First Prize at the “Villa de Cox” Performance Competition, and First Prize at The American Protégé Concerto Competition (in duo with flautist Kalina Majewska as the FlowStick Ensemble).
She has given numerous concerts and masterclasses as a soloist and as a member of chamber groups and orchestras across several European countries, as well as in China, Japan, and North America. In addition to Sauti Duo and Symmetrio, she collaborates with flautist Kalina Majewska in the FlowStick Ensemble, and is also a member of the contemporary music orchestra Sound Factory Orchestra.
Through her travels and personal interests, Magdalena has gained a wealth of experiences that have shaped her humanist outlook, fostering a deep openness to diverse cultures and a remarkable versatility across multiple musical styles.
David Almagro
Born in 1995, he completed his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in percussion in Alicante, graduating from both with high distinctions. During his studies, he was influenced by various soloists and orchestral percussionists through his extensive travels abroad, attending courses and festivals such as the Marimba Festiva Congress and Competition, Italy PAS, and IKMMA.
Professionally, David has built an active international career, with his two most significant projects being Sauti Duo and Symmetrio, which have taken him to perform in various countries across Europe and the United States. As an orchestral musician, he has also performed in several European countries.
Through his experiences and interests both within and beyond the field of music, David has developed a distinctive musical identity — one that seeks to go beyond the purely musical act.
