DUALITIES

DUALITIES

This is the first project of Sauti Duo, which they presented, among others, during Ciclo Musica Jove at Auditorio de Diputación in Alicante. The original idea is inspired by the contrast the temperaments of the two members of the duo, coming from different countries and grown up in different cultures, yet sharing common goals and passions – just as the philosophical concept of duality describes the different kinds of souls and their complementary function. The program is characterized by dynamism and diversity, so that can find „something for themselves”. A.Piazzolla: Historia del tango A.Katny: Chain II C.Cangelosi: Bad Touch M. Bembinow: Returning Sounds  M.Miki: Marimba Spiritual

SACRUM and PROFANUM

SACRUM and PROFANUM

This proposal is a reflection on the diversity of religions and rituals in the world. The program includes among others compositions with Catholic, Muslim and Buddhist influences. The concert’s title alludes to a dichotomous way of thinking and our tendency to categorize a value system that is not its own. J. Psathas: Ukiyo A.Viñao: Khan Variations A. Ignatowicz: Passacaglia P. Vallejo: Tactus M.Miki: Marimba Spiritual  J.S.Bach: Gottes Zeit ist die allerbeste Zeit

SOUNDSCAPE

SOUNDSCAPE

In this concert, the audience is invited to imaginary lands “painted” with a rich palette of timbres of percussion instruments. Sauti Duo has structured a program of contemporary compositions containing the extended techniques and applications of electronics, hoping to desseminate new music and all its diversity, while contemplating the beauty of nature. Y.Raz: Pangea J.M. Lopéz Lopéz: African Winds II R. Garcia Tomás: Shadja M: Ryczek: Braid of Andromeda J. Psathas: Ukiyo
